WELCOME!

St. John’s is an active, growing parish striving to follow the message of Christ and welcoming one and all who would join us in our worship and service. Our congregation is comprised of people from all walks of life and we value our diversity of experience and opinion as each of us navigates his/her personal spiritual journey.

St. John’s hosts two Sunday morning worship services with nursery services and youth Sunday school classes available during the 10:00 a.m. Eucharist. We also have a multitude of church-based and outreach ministries available for individuals of all ages looking for fellowship and volunteer opportunities.

Our Schedule of Services:

Sunday Mornings:
8:00 - Holy Eucharist, Rite Two
9:45 - Nursery and Church School
10:00 - Holy Eucharist, Rite Two
(the children will join us at the Peace for communion)

Wednesdays at Noon:
11:45 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite Two
(During the summer the service is only on the second Wednesday of June, July and August. Please join us at 11:45 on June 9, July 14 and August 11. This is a brief Eucharist, little more than 30 minutes, so all ages may come and enjoy this short contemplative service.)

Notice about our Wednesday Eucharists: We will continue to gather at 11:45 am through Wednesday, May 11. For the summer, we will gather on the second Wednesday of the month to share communion: June 8, July 13, and August 10.

Good Morning, Betsy Kessler will be having surgery on November 8th and would like some help with meals November 14th-November 18th. New Music Director - Helen Houdek

Dear St John's family,

I am pleased to announce that Helen Houdek has been hired as our new music director. Helen is a very talented musician, organist and choir director and we are looking forward to her joining our music ministries. She will begin her service with St John's on Oct. 1. Thanks to everyone who took part in our survey and to the music committee for their assistance and input in the search process. Together, we've found an excellent person to join our staff.

Over the last year and a bit, Grace Edwards and Millie Nelligar have been our choir director and organist respectively. They both stepped in when we really needed them and they have worked very hard to make our music program one that enriches our worship. ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, at our 10 am service, we will take the opportunity to honor and thank them for their good service. Please join us on that day to extend your personal thanks to these two special people.

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program is a fund raising program for schools (public or private- preschool through 12th grade) in our communities.

When customers purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using their VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to the schools of their choice.

Schools use the money as they see fit on anything from basic supplies to band equipment or computers.
