WELCOME!

St. John’s is an active, growing parish striving to follow the message of Christ and welcoming one and all who would join us in our worship and service. Our congregation is comprised of people from all walks of life and we value our diversity of experience and opinion as each of us navigates his/her personal spiritual journey.

St. John’s hosts two Sunday morning worship services with nursery services and youth Sunday school classes available during the 10:00 a.m. Eucharist. We also have a multitude of church-based and outreach ministries available for individuals of all ages looking for fellowship and volunteer opportunities.

Our Schedule of Services:

Sunday Mornings:
8:00 - Holy Eucharist, Rite Two
9:45 - Nursery and Church School
10:00 - Holy Eucharist, Rite Two
(the children will join us at the Peace for communion)

Wednesdays at Noon:
11:45 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite Two
(During the summer the service is only on the second Wednesday of June, July and August. Please join us at 11:45 on June 9, July 14 and August 11. This is a brief Eucharist, little more than 30 minutes, so all ages may come and enjoy this short contemplative service.)

Notice about our Wednesday Eucharists: We will continue to gather at 11:45 am through Wednesday, May 11. For the summer, we will gather on the second Wednesday of the month to share communion: June 8, July 13, and August 10.

We have joined Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program, where St. John's Preschool will receive a percentage of purchase dollars from select Harris Teeter Brand products for VIC cards that are linked to St John’s account number in the program. The code number for St. John's Preschool is 7754.

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program is a fund raising program for schools (public or private- preschool through 12th grade) in our communities.

When customers purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using their VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to the schools of their choice.

Schools use the money as they see fit on anything from basic supplies to band equipment or computers.

VBS is open to 3-year-olds through 10-year-olds.

Cost for VBS is $5 per child to help pay for supplies & snacks.

Please include payment with your registration form & return to the church office by May 18th. Get the registration form HERE.

Checks can be made out to ‘St. John’s Church’ with ‘VBS’ on the memo line. The forms & payments can be mailed to: PO BOX 608, Wake Forest, NC 27588 or brought to the church office or preschool office Monday through Thursday between 9am &12pm.

Youth and adult family members are encouraged to help out during VBS, a list of volunteer openings is posted in the parish hall & the preschool, or you can email Tammy Warriner at: warriner@email.com if you wish to help.

Nursery care is available at no charge for children under 3 so caretakers & adults can help at VBS.

A snack will be provided each evening.
